The Navy first brought Adam to Jacksonville nearly two decades ago. What began as a duty assignment became a lasting commitment. Adam and his wife, Kristi, chose to make Jacksonville their permanent home, building their life in Mandarin and raising their two children in Duval County Public Schools.
Commissioned as a Navy JAG following law school, Adam served as in-house counsel to the Commanding Officer of NAS Jacksonville before deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his 2009-2010 deployment, he worked alongside Iraqi judges and prosecutors to prosecute terrorists affiliated with extremist organizations, holding dangerous individuals accountable and protecting American lives.
After active duty, Adam continued serving in the Navy Reserve, providing legal support to Naval forces across Europe and the Middle East. In 2020–2021, he mobilized to Joint Task Force Guantanamo as Chief of the Litigation Support Section. Today, he serves as Executive Officer of a 60-person Navy legal unit – leading sailors and managing complex operations with discipline and responsibility.
In civilian life, Adam is a Shareholder and Managing Attorney of the Jacksonville office of Lawson Huck Gonzalez, PLLC, where he represents local businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation. He understands firsthand the challenges facing employers, workers, and entrepreneurs in our community.
Adam’s record of leadership and integrity has earned him appointment three times by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on Judicial Nominating Commissions for Florida’s First and Fifth District Courts of Appeal. He has also served as President of the Jacksonville Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society and as General Counsel of the Duval Republican Executive Committee.
Beyond his professional work, Adam is deeply engaged in the community. He serves on the Board of the American Red Cross- Northeast Florida Chapter, is a member of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, and is a graduate of Leadership Florida and other civic leadership programs.
Faith and family are the foundation of Adam’s life. He has been married for 21 years to Kristi, Chief Development and Administrative Officer of Hubbard House. Together, they are raising their two children in Mandarin. They attend the Church of the Redeemer (Anglican), enjoy sailing on the St. Johns River and spend time outdoors with their two dogs, Charlotte and Daisy.
Adam Brandon believes Jacksonville’s best days are ahead – and he is committed to serving Mandarin and our city.
